OK, while this is still considered "BETA", I think we are getting close to moving this to official release.

In order to install this patch you must be running v1.63 or later. It includes all fixes and tweaks since 1.63 PLUS the following:

AI - Improved September call-up AI. Teams will no longer just fill the majors with 40 players, some will maybe only bring a very few players. A key factor the AI will consider here is where it is in the standings. Teams that are hopelessly out of the race will be MUCH more likely to bring 5-10 players whereas teams in the thick of a pennant race will be super judicious around call ups.

Fix - In some cases, if a hitter for a human managed team was injured in a game being managed, after the game the player would appear as fully healthy (e.g. the injury was not reflected)

Fix - If a Batter on an AI managed team incurred an injury in a game being played out live, the AI would sometimes not do the appropriate substitution.

Fix - Contract Status Report now includes players that are on the Disabled List

Fix/Cosmetic - Erroneous pbp message saying "There are no pitchers available to sub" when a human manager's pitcher was hurt and he subbed for him

Fix - In sandbox mode the AI would sometimes lock on "Evaluating GM Tendencies" after the September Roster Call-ups

Tweaks - Multiple improvements to Multiplayer/FTP robustness

Awesome, Shaun. If you can believe it, I had McGwire signed to the Tigers in 1992 for a one year deal - I had forgotten that by the end of the season though, and when he wasn't listed in my contract status report... I lost him. I could trade for him again but I think I'm just going to pretend he was unhappy here. It's cool to see that it won't happen again.

Seems to work great !

The Yankees are leading and brought up 2 players

The WhiteSox are 30 games out and brought up 7 players !!

I'm wondering if downloading the most recent update will cause problems with a multiplayer league that I have currently running under an older version?

If everyone isn't running the same game version, then I'd venture to say it would cause problems.

With multiplayer I would say wait until official patches are released that way all the issues should have been ironed out and then everyone in the league just downloads and installs one time.

So is all going well with the patch? I am in August in my league, so I just wanted to make sure nobody was having any problems before I went ahead and downloaded it.
