MarkShot -> How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/18/2007 11:47:49 PM)

Curious ...

Why or why not?

TonyE -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 12:38:33 AM)

Yes, one of the prime reasons I play H3 is for the multiplayer. Even without that I would have purchased H3, it is a different game with different dynamics, different gameplay, etc. Pretty much the same goes for HC, except no multiplayer ;).

Terminus -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 1:40:10 AM)

I'll probably get it. Main reason would be a user interface that's actually designed to be used by human beings...[:D]

Bungle -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 2:56:43 AM)

Yep, ditto the above and above that  [:)] , not ditching anw mind still going to keep on playing there too.

cheers

ClaudeJ -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 5:29:58 AM)

i will definitelly get it, mostly because of the new battlesets.

cheers,

Jan

dyoox01 -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 7:58:44 AM)

I definitely will. I find Harpoon classic much more playable.

Renato -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 9:09:43 AM)

I confess that, after having read everything about HCCE, I still find it somewhat mysterious.

Beyond some gold nuggets by TonyE and CV32, will anybody publish a complete list of modifications (improvements, semplifications, deletions) before release ?

EagleMountainDK -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 10:15:27 AM)

I will buy it, since I want to have the current versions of Harpoon this time. Looking forward to try it out.

Btw, what resolutions does the game support?

BlindOldUmp -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 4:44:58 PM)

Absolutely - I actually only bought ANW to support the comunity. I LIKE playig HC etc.

Dagooz -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 5:23:47 PM)

Probably. But i'll wait and see how many bugs need ironing out. I've bought too many unfinished games already.

Not much left for "ironing out"

We'll see, beta testing never matches the creativeness of new players!

Justascratch -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 7:11:25 PM)

I will get it because while both can keep you on the edge of your seat the strategies and tactics are different and each presents a satisfying game experience in it's own right.

It just runs in a regular windows window (unless something has changed)... of course, the bigger the resolution the bigger the area you have for the interior windows. Should run on just about any resolution.

BurntFingers -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 8:37:44 PM)

No.

Quite happy building stuff for ANW, thanks.

Anyway, I got bored of Harpoon Classic last century. Would be a step backwards (for me).

MarkShot -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/19/2007 8:48:57 PM)

I can tell you from my own experiences testing:

Beta testers tend to be the hardcore most experienced players. Thus, they tend not to use/test arcade oriented options and/or make the type of constructs that only a confused noob would make while trying to play a game. As such, it is not uncommon for a game which received a lot of play by the testers to immediately have a flurry of bug reports upon release.

AW1Steve -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/23/2007 9:44:14 PM)

[:)] I definately will be replacing it. I've never realy been comfortable with ANW and really missed the previous editions . [:)]

H3 ANW anyone?
Actually the way that game is going at the moment (ECM being downgraded, lack of response to suggestions and questions made by community and the bad attitude towards the same etc. etc. etc.) I don't see myself buying anything AGSI for the foreseable future so I'll change my vote to "no".
That is my opinion.

mack2 -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/24/2007 8:38:32 PM)

I've read about that ECM thing, but does that also apply to HCE?

can´t say they don´t listen to me....

And i think that I´m sometimes really stressing the Team asking for changes
or telling them my Ideas of what might be improved....

Dagooz -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (9/24/2007 9:31:08 PM)

As René said it is two different games. So it probably won't.

AlvinS -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (10/10/2007 4:52:05 AM)

I am an old Harpooner from way back to the original Amiga version. I also owned Harpoon 2 and Harpoon 97.

I recently purchased Harpoon 3 and will purchase the HCCE. The games each give a different experience. If I could only choose one, I would stick with H3 for the flexibility of the windowing system.

SouthernAP -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (10/10/2007 7:06:46 AM)

I am game to get a copy of HCCE when it arrives.

planetbrain -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (10/10/2007 9:57:22 AM)

I expect that I will get it. It would surely be less flawed than is ANW. I recently bought 3.7 now updated to 3.8 and am very disappointed with all the bugs and the lack of progress with the interface since Harpoon2, which I previously played.

ibeam81 -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (10/16/2007 10:57:30 AM)

I'll probably get HCCE because of the user interface.

dogancan -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (10/18/2007 11:33:42 AM)

I definitely will, since it is said that ANW is full of bugs

Plodder -> RE: How many ANW owners will be getting HCCE? (10/18/2007 12:29:52 PM)

I've never been bitten by the Harpoon bug and H3 turns me off so I'm tempted to get this one..
