Found this link to a comic strip i used to read in Battle Comic when i was a kid, way back in the mid 1970's.
The story starts in Burma in 1942, 20 British soldiers find themselves surrounded by the Japanese Army, their officers dead, all hope lost, they are exhausted and waiting to die, and then a mysterious figure emerges from the jungle and introduces himself as Captain Joe Darkie, "On your feet you pathetic bunch of goose pimples,we're moving out!"........
