Kyzt214 -> Roster Question (10/1/2007 9:24:27 AM)

Years ago my cousin and I ran a 20 team Electric Football league. Each team had a separate offense and defense. It was a no pass league. We kept meticulous stats for both sides of the ball.

What I'm interested in doing is recreating that league but on the computer. I'd like to limit the roster size to 24 players per team. Is that possible? Is it possible to have no injuries? Can you adjust either the playbook or maybe some type of tendencies setting so that no pass plays are run? Are the player's abilities completely adjustable?

This game looks very flexible and if all of this is possible I'll be buying it tomorrow.

Thanks,
Erick

Go Lions!!!3-1

Roster sizes are limited. You can choose between 20, 40, 45, 53 or 65 men rosters.

Yes

It is easier to create a playbook which has only run plays. So no team will ever threw a pass.

You can edit the rating ranges in the maindata.mdb . Every rating can be changed.

It is possible to edit roster sizes. You need to do 2 things.

1.)Using Access or Open Office, edit the league file by changing the 'Leagues' table entry MaxPlayersOnRoster to what you want, in your case 24.

2.)Then create a Team Profile with 24 players on it....below is a sample of one of mine. I use 24 players for my 8 man football leagues.
**Note-If im playing outdoors I swap out one of the positions for a punter**
**Also in the 'Leagues' table, you can change the MaxDraftRounds to whatever you want. I made mine 24 and that lets you draft for 24 rounds.

It is very important to create a profile that matches the roster size, or the game kinda wings it and you end up with 20 QBs. Not the games fault, just the way it works. The profile is the 'roster bible'.

garysorrell -> RE: Roster Question (10/1/2007 3:05:10 PM)

As for playbooks...Tullis is correct. If you have no pass plays in a playbook, you will have an all run league.

You can also create a 'situation in a playbook and give either the run or pass position a '0'. This should stop the team from either running or passing....whichever you have set to zero.

I usually create 1 master situation for any down, any this any that. Set it to whatever % of pass/run I want that team to use and it works well. You dont have to add plays to that situation. It will just know it needs to pass or run and grab a play thats appropriate. If you do add plays to a situation, it obviously is more specialized.
