TexHorns -> Another V1.2 beta 5 error (10/16/2007 4:26:41 PM)

Jan-Feb 1916 turn, playing as CP. Completed orders and clicked arrow to advance to movement/battles. At conclusion of movement/battles game procedes to strtategic turn. If I click on anything on the screen I get the following error:

EAccess violation in module Trench.exe at 00000000.
Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.

After clicking ok game proceeds to strategic phase. After choosing a country the only icons to appear on the top are research and diplomacy. No other icons appear. I do have the auto save file for movement phase. If you want me to send it I need an email address.

Let me say also, that this game is addicting thus far. It is one of those "just one more turn and I'll go to bed" games. At the time of this error I had Paris surounded on all but 2 hexes, with France and Britian wavering. It took me three games to realize that transfering raw materials to Germany from Austria would massively increase Greman production of industrial points. Also that Germany can then turn around and supply Austria with extra industry points. Not sure how the game ever gets to bogging down in trench warfare as there are too many other needs than trenches.

I reloaded the game at the orders autosave. The first time I received a trench.exe error that shut the game down. I reloaded and tried again and this time it progressed with no problem.

Hi Texhorns, that's a strange address but please send me your save, I'm at fhunter@telus.net

I've had a few similar crashes but only when the music was on. Sound's fine; but I turn off the music.

I had sound off when I reloaded and it worked. Played a few turns this morning with sound off and no more problems.

Unfortunately when it reloaded I hadn't renamed the old file and it overwrote it. Sorry.
