ORIGINAL: AlvinS Matrix has so many great titles either out or soon to be released, and I am having a hard time deciding. I have not played the board version of this game so I have no background with it. For those who own many Matrix titles, is this one among the must have titles? I must admit the price is right. ........ Opinions are appreciated. [&o] Thank you I've never played the boardgame either, but if anything that has only increased my enjoyment of the title. No simple nostalgic love of the game here. I would strongly think its among the Matrix "Must-Have-Titles" because it fits a different niche. They are relatively quick games (depending on mission length) that you can play solitaire and it is also one of the more abstract titles with fairly clear but highly entertaining strategy choices. I also think its perfectly priced. I suppose you could gripe about the lack of any multiple player functionality (though of course the game was never designed for that) or even the graphics, but the simple fact is the game doesn't require either. Because of the large amount of open black space on many of the screenshots, I do think the game doesn't show well there. My initial interest dropped a bit when I saw that but rose again at the price. In the end, as I've said elsewhere, the game is way more fun that it would look like. And that might actually be the best reason to buy it. This game is clearly "Fun", where-as other strategy/wargames fall more along the lines of "Work". Even if you prefer the later there should always be time for the former... :)
