Good luck Oso -
FWIW, he just didn't seem to follow that the result wasn't A2A - your escort and his CAP mixed it. the bombers then had a largely unopposed run at his base as the CAP had been fully occupied, and having stacked like a multi storey car park every bomb took out a plane... from the rants I got the distinct impression he'd not twigged that his biggest losses weren't CAP a/c being shot down, but a/c still sitting on the field getting bombed. He also hasn't understood that the combat animations include a fair degree of misinformation.

WIKI is a brilliant idea, but don't quote it - find an article that has references you can double check.... got a small problem in education these days with older students, who don't understand that a Wiki reference doesn't carry any weight on a submission. I'll make good use of the Chinese Lanc story in future explanations.

...and finally, when I was 15 I was an Air Cadet (quite a while back, we still had collar studs for example), and a bunch of us were asked to help out at the local airport where a small aviation museum was starting up...we had an ex-French Lanc, I spent a happy summer crawling all over it, sitting in a turret during an engine run was fun but hand pumping the bomb doors was considerably less enjoyable. It flew into the airport, I don't know what became of it afterwards but I suspect it didn't fly back out. Used to charge people to climb in at the rear crew door, exit was via a ladder down from the bomb aimer's hatch, please don't twiddle the knobs as you go past. Had the chap who played Guy Gibson visit one day, Richard Todd. (I was most disappointed to find he didn't have a fur collared flying jacket on and a steely air of command... tsk, actors eh?)

ORIGINAL: OSO
We had an hour and a half debate over MSN regarding this matter in which I suggested he post here if he felt there was a true problem with the A2A model in this scenario of CHS in order to give feedback for improvements in a later version.

His response was that everyone here was ignorant. I told him that was an arrogant statement. While there are some people here that may fit that description, I didn't think it was a very good judgment on his part to come in here slinging mud right off the bat.

I'm not sure I want to continue playing him now. I'll have to think about it.

Oso. We've all gotten stuck in games with folks we later discover we'd rather not associate with. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll bail on you. I doubt he'll feel any guilt about it..., while you, as a gentleman, would.

Being an ignorant slob, I was so hoping for some edification on WWII from the titled gentry, (High Command)?

Good Luck OSO, i do hope I'm wrong (and ignorant [;)](actually true)).

Has Poona got a coastline ? don't have the CHS or even the stock map at present. I'd dearly love to see what 4 RN BB's would do to that hex [:D]

eloso -> RE: AIRCRAFT !! (10/25/2007 1:37:21 AM)

Poona does not have a coastline. It is inland one hex from Bombay.
