orgit -> invalid cd key????? (10/22/2007 12:49:48 PM)

I have tried to register my game but both serial number are invalid.
Can you explain me why?. I can't install even the patches because of the invalid cd key.
I have bought the game last week. To let the game functioning I had to insert one of the two serial number.
Can you help me?
Thank you.

Please answer to the following e-mail address:

You must type serial number including dashes...
And if you Copy&Paste number from confirmation mail or download screen check if empty space is not at the end (sometimes it copy number with additional space)

I have done it.I will check for empty space at the end. Inside the plastic box I have found two number key but I think they are useless.
Thank you

Which game is this for? Did you buy it directly from us or somewhere else? The serial number should be in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and you have to type all of that in for it to work.

orgit -> RE: invalid cd key????? (10/23/2007 9:31:44 AM)

I have tried everything. The format is all right. The game is Tin soldiers J.Cesar.
I have bought the game in an italian supermarket (Carrefour).
Please, ca you explain me one thing?. I have found inside the plastic box 2 serial numbers. With one of them I have validated the game, but with the same number I can not validate the patches.
That is meaningless and ridicolous. First of all it is the first time that for installing a patch I need a serial number but I DO NOT want to discuss Matrix Game policies, what I would like to discuss is that the money I have spent do not need a serial number to be validated.
Can you please help me.
Thank you.

Please check the game version number (usually somewhere n the corners on the main screen). It is possible that the game is already at the latest version since we produce new production runs of CDs always at the latest game version. Older patches obviously do not contain the new serial numbers used on these already updated game versions.

Another question. Is it possible that you did by a "Blackbean" european release version of the game? Check the box, does it have the "Blackbean" logo on it?
In this case the game is already full patched and the same as above applies to the older patch installers.

Ok, that explains it - there's no need to get upset. It sounds like your game is a release that was made AFTER the update was sent out. In other words, you're already up to the latest version. We did the online release first and the update was meant for that, but later retail releases were done with an already up to date game.

When the patch was made, your release (and your serial number) didn't exist yet, so the patch wouldn't recognize them. However, as I said, the patch is unnecessary for your release.

- Erik

First of all, thank you very much indeed for your promptly help.
The version that I have is 1.1.1. The patch is vers.1.11 (?). Is it this the miserandestending? Probably there is the need of further information when you release a patch.
What company should try to understand is that most of the time customers (I'm glad is not your case) are left alone with products that have lots of bugs, installing problems ect. and not even the minimum requirement to be in a market that is over and over a worldwide market; and a company that answer to the need of their customers ( and you have gained more then one)are the only that can survive.
I have got one last question if you want to answer, still I can't register my product but I do not think it is important because I can download patches or whatsoever.
One suggestion if I can: why not to introduce a sort of editor or the possibility to set battle in your game?.
Thanks a lot.
