Deft -> More PDS Suggestions (10/23/2007 3:56:37 PM)

I have been playing with Gary Sorrell's playbook and really enjoy the game to this point. But I have some suggestions for the a few areas of the in game I think could be enhanced.

1) Outside rush- The outside runs still get good yardage and part of this is due to M2M coverage is persistent for the defender until the runner crosses the line of scrimmage. This makes sense for covering receivers that are going into pass routes but if the man the defender is covering is blocking the defender should change to a "Read" coverage. I also think there could be some slight improve with pursuit angles for DBs.

2) Pass Blocking- I would like to see 4 pass block options.
- Chop block- it would knock the defender down but not maintain the block for short quick passes.
- 3,5, and 7 step Pass Block- The call would be how many yards the OL would step back before blocking. This would produce more realistic QB pockets and improve pass blocking. The 3 step pass block would be the default for the inner OL and the 5 step pass block would be standard for the tackles.

I'd like to see something like this for tackles. I'd like to have the option for the tackles to allow the DE to rush upfield without letting him cross him. It would also make for more realistic draw plays and backside blocking on running plays.
