Percopius -> Can you link Maps Victor? (10/29/2007 10:20:32 PM)
Hi,
Could I have more than one map in a scenario? Think Masters of Magic, or Heroes of Might and Magic, where certain locations or spells transport you to an additional map, like the Underworld, or a Space map.
Thanks,

You can link scenarios. But, you cannot pass variables across scenarios so I think your description above would be difficult.

Hi,
Just a thought; The 'areas' could all be on the same 'map', if you could have a non-map or null 'terain' that you can not move a unit through (or some sort of border), and there was some way to transport the units to the different areas (like a strategic move). You would just need a big enough map area to put all the separate 'areas' on.
Does this sound possible?

You could remove the units in one piece of the map and then add them on the other piece of the map. Currently, the editor allows you to count the number of sftypes in a unit so this is possible. Other state information would be lost (e.g., readiness, experience).
