KarlXII -> How is the manual to this game ? (10/30/2007 2:18:36 PM)

One thing that irritates me is the lack of any mention in reviews in general, about the manual to a game. For me the manual is of immense value to set the atmosphere for the game. I would never play any strategy game without a manual. Now when everything in this strategy genre is by digital download developers should be able to 1) have fully explained manuals and 2) be able to update them when new patches become available.

So....is the manual for CEAW any good ? Does it explain more than just how to use the interface by giving background information or behind-the-scenes calculation descriptions etc.

Long time ago Microprose (Gunship, Red Storm Rising, F-19 Stealth Fighter, Pirates etc) was a publisher that always had good manuals for their games with the favouirte "Designers Notes" in the end...

Just FYI, we actually offer a fully physical boxed version of CEAW that comes with a full color printed manual, so it's not as easily updated as it might seem. The manual itself is 50 pages with an index and so far, I haven't heard from anyone that they had any problems with it.

When I first got the game . I manage to jump straight in and finish a game without reading single page of the manual ...this show how great the game interface is and how easy to get into the game [:)]

Now that I´ve bought the game I can only say that I think the manual is quite good. Easily written straight down explanations and a good layout.

It would be nice to read something from the developers about the AI in the game.
