sttfrk -> Spring Football Chaos idea (11/5/2007 9:03:03 PM)

I am putting the finishing touches on some custom uniforms. Once that is complete and I get 4th down plays working to my satisfaction, I will begin a new 12 team, 11 man league (100 yard NFL type field) with the following rules: No punts (almost have this working well) Unlimited motion (no plays in playbook yet to take advantage of this rule) live field goals 2pt conversions loose penalties 12 minute quarters 40 second play clock 12 teams in the following structure: North Division Baltimore Stars Chicago Enforcers New York Knights Toronto Towers Southeast Division Birmingham Stallions Miami Marauders Orlando Rage San Antonio Defenders West Division Las Vegas Outlaws Los Angeles Sharks Oakland Invaders Portland Storm The current league schedule idea is to play a 13 game season playing each division opponent 3 times and four other division opponents once. The division winners plus a wildcard team will compete in the playoffs. The schedue would be modified each offseason to change the out of division opponents (unless the game can do this on its own). I still need to do uniforms for the LA Sharks (prefer silver/red color scheme), Miami Marauders (prefer maroon/white color scheme), and Toronto Towers (prefer blue/gold color scheme) if anyone is interested in taking a stab at them over the next couple days. If you would be willing to help, would you please post which team(s) you are working on here or PM me? If all goes well, I plan on starting the league later this weekend or over the weekend. I welcome any comments/suggestions you might have. This was originally conceived as a solo league idea, but I would be open to making it a multiplayer online league if anyone is interested in participating in this type of league. In that case, custom playbooks would be required with the appropriate 4th down strategy paremeters and a minimum field goal distance being fixed and the same for each team. Also, teams could be moved and renamed if there was enough interest in an online league version.
