Each time you install an update it causes an entry. What you need is a program that will allow you to just remove the extra entries. I use Tuneup Utilities. There is a program at this link that should help you clear out the superfluous entries: http://www.intelliadmin.com/blog/2006/05/addremove-programs-cleaner-new-version.html I have used it and it works safely.
