Just wanted to pass along that the Public Beta 10 version of Guns of August 1.2 patch has been uploaded.

If you are interested in participating with the public beta testing, the Public Beta 10 update can be found at the following link.
http://www.matrixgames.com/games/downloads.asp?gid=331

This update is not officially supported as it is a public beta patch, but it's stable and solid as far as we can tell. Barring any major issues being found, this one will become the official update

Just a couple more AI tweaks, one bug fix and one rule change.

Bug : The HQ Rail move issue mentioned on another thread where you cancel your rail move and it keeps letting you increase your strategic movement points.
Rule change : I modified the control of food and resource hexes.  Now, if the Bulgarians capture a food in Romania for example, that food will go to Germany, you don't have to do the "gamey" thing and make sure you capture the hex with a German unit.

Also, it seems that all scenarios now work without CTD's; not just 1914.

I haven't downloaded beta10, but I've noticed some possible hex problems in Britain in beta9, which may not have been cleared up in beta 10

The hexes south, southeast and southwest of London had 0% supply.

Some player feedback.  I've played a couple of solitaire games in beta 10, one on each side.  The AI still isn't much of a challenge.  It does launch some tricky attacks now and then.  A decent way to learn the game mechanics IMO.  The AI Brits were absolutely non agressive in the middle east.  The AI Brit abandoned India and filled Alexandria with corps that never left.  The AI CP went Russia first.  It never tried to finish Serbia so I reinforced with Brits.  I took most of western Germany, Palastine, and Mesopotamia and the Balken before I got bored with it.  The Russians easily stabalized and dug in.

This is an old problem, as complained of in the old thread "Historical AI?". Turkey can afford to fully neglect Caucasian, Middle Eastern and Mesopotamian fronts: no threat comes from these areas. Moreover I've never seen, after many games, the Entente AI undertaking any Gallipoli expedition.

I've never seen a human try Gallipoli either!! :)

And for good reason. It is a risky operation and it makes more sense for the British to advance out of Egypt and up the Levant along with a drive from Basra to Baghdad.
