mingohh -> how to set surfacebattle in warsheets (11/26/2007 12:32:27 PM)

Is it possible to set surface engagement, so that the enemy do not run for cover
I Have the german DD to engage with convojs and their carrierforce to deal with allied TF. But[&:]i can figure out how the british convoj coverforce will stay to fight, or how the Bismarck could fight the last stand before reinforce carrier force came to rescure.
Because to set a real scenario is unlikely that a transport by 15 knot outrun a destroyer at 38 knot.
Is there a calkulated faktor in CAW thats says that they shall run each time.
I Now this is a carrierbaset game. BUT[;)] in war all tricks is aloved and to make more historic battle you need surface element in this. It gives more gameplay to CAW
Any help to set warsheet will be [X(]apricipetet because is very hard to comprihend the overall impackt that the different warsheet have on eachother.even with the manual.
So if anybody now how the differet sheet should be set to give more realisme to CAW i will be a [:D]guy, i got war in the pacific but feels that CAW has so much in it
Love this game because you can build and put in lots of ships/planes is awsome.
Thanks can wait to the next patch.
Have a nice day
Sorry for my english[:o]

I think that some of what you want is covered by the 'TG Surface Combat' action, explained on Page 53 of the manual. It allows you to override a TGs AI in surface combat. You can force it to stay in surface combat even though it is massively outnumbered or flee regardless of the fact that it would otherwise win. You can also control what transports and carriers do in surface combat.
