garysorrell -> National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/1/2007 9:03:38 AM)

Im starting an 11 man US Rules league with a friend. The specifics are below:

*You must own Max Football. Patched up to 2.18

11 Man
40 Man Rosters
8 Teams (8 teams max, no expansion)
10 Min qtrs
25 Sec Playclock
Sudden Death OT
10 Week Season
US Pro Field
Custom Plays
Games played out CPU v CPU
Blah, Blah

Anyway, what we would like to have is a tightly run little league with 8 good owners, guys who will be involved in their teams operation.

My Co-Commissioner Dave will be the webmaster, and should have a site up soon. I will likely handle the weekly team related stuff, and the playing out of games.

If interested, let me know. Email me at the following address, or leave contact info here.

the_ncfl@yahoo.com

Click my signature link below and I have a wimpy website setup. Just a temp until Dave gets the real one going. Not much there yet, but I will update it shortly.

We would like to run this league as if it were a real world league, at
least as far as Maximum Football allows.
Please choose a 'real world' city, and keep the nicknames reasonable.
Nothing dirty or offensive. Try to stick to nicknames that would likely
be used in the real world.
We also would like to avoid using real teams, ie; Dallas Cowboys or
Birmingham Stallions.
Not trying to be a pain, we just want to conduct the league as if it were
being started in the real world, with the history of pro football intact as it
is today.
Some things im planning to do:
I will try and watch the games as they are played, do write-ups on them. Take a few screens.

I may also see about actually recording the Title Game and sending it to the
owners.

And not immediately, but at some point, I would like to do a weekly podcast
after the games have been played.

garysorrell -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/2/2007 1:30:42 AM)

That would put us at 5 owners for sure.

If any owners want to do a custom stadium, feel free to do so.

I have most of the unpacked stock ones, and the Merenge stadiums, which are
great. Im also glad to help anyone that needs it with 'tricking out' their
stadium.

BigSmooth -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/2/2007 4:52:01 AM)

Would it be acceptable to build a playbook using plays from FBMax or is the league going to have set plays?

garysorrell -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/2/2007 5:21:05 AM)

Either way is fine. Build'em from scratch, use the default stuff, or downloads from FBMAX.

BigSmooth -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/2/2007 5:34:07 AM)

Count me in. My team will be the Boston Battalion. Let me know when you want my way cool uniforms.

garysorrell -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/8/2007 8:32:22 PM)

I appreciate that :-) It looks fantastic. Im hoping the other owners take that into account. But im not going to be iron handed about it.

MSO94 -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/8/2007 9:08:06 PM)

What are the chances of player name changes. and Number changes.

Why have a QB wearing 23 ? im not sure..
Also i have my Dome ready and the field art is close.

Does anybody know if i can change the equipment Box on the side lines to match team colors or add a logo to it

garysorrell -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/9/2007 6:17:17 AM)

Im thinking the sideline stuff might come from somewhere other than the stadium files. I havent seen any of it in the unpacked stadiums.

Name changes no, number changes yes.

MSO94 -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/9/2007 10:02:55 AM)

cool

i will send in a list of number changes.
The only names i wanted changed was to some of my family but thats ok.

I sent in my NFL picks tonight

MSO94 -> RE: National Coaches Football League seeking owners (12/11/2007 6:23:53 AM)

Detroit add's Miami Dolphin All Star QB Bob Griese and Oakland Raider Hall of Famer.
Fred Biletnikoff to there roster. Both players made Practice this morning. We hope to have a great season here in the NCFL. Saif Biletnikoff. Its nothing like i was expecting. These teams are top notch. When I left Oakland i thought i was done. But i feel like we have a strong chance to be a big time league. I can't wait to line up with Bob on my side. I love watching him play except when he played us. this is going to be a good year.
