Feinder -> Mystery Ship #55 (12/5/2007 6:04:46 PM)

Enterprise CV6 forward elevator pit after the 1945 kamikaze strike? I know I'm wrong but what the heck![;)]

niceguy2005 -> RE: Mystery Ship #55 (12/5/2007 7:03:52 PM)

Well, lets see whats in the picture...a lot of twisted metal and a big hole.  Looks like it might be a bomb hit to me.  Can't really make out too much.  I see a twisted ladder.  Something tells me I'm looking at the side of a damaged CV.

Dixie -> RE: Mystery Ship #55 (12/5/2007 7:08:32 PM)

USS Intrepid?

Feinder -> RE: Mystery Ship #55 (12/5/2007 7:40:22 PM)

Back from lunch....

Ron is correct! It the Big E. Not in 1945, and not from a kami. It's a bomb hit from the Guadalcanal campaign.
