Mike,

Could you post a DxDiag as well please?

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:11:58 PM)

Can you give me the O/Ss involved here?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:25:31 PM)

Marshall,

XP Pro SP2 per the DxDiag in the first post at least.

Regards,

- Erik

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:33:58 PM)

Hey guys:

This looks to be resolution related as well. Can you manually change your screen res to 1024 x 768 then run the game and tell me the results?

behoma -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:40:48 PM)

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:48:03 PM)

Your resolution looks OK but there are no options???
Did the install go OK?
Can you tell me if there is a file in your DATA directory called wgs_default_settings and if so how big is it?

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:50:03 PM)

Guys,

I am at 1024*768 still the same error. This is exactly the same machine I used during Beta test. Only difference is the front end screens which have been added. I never got to test those...

Let me know if I can help...

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:52:26 PM)

wgs_default_settings.dat is 1 ko large

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 10:56:35 PM)

Marshal/Erik,

The text is squashed into a small box about 3 pixels deep in the top left of the screen when you run new game. Cant see anything similar with the blank options screen though...

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 11:04:38 PM)

Mike:

Goto your player screen (Like you're starting a new game) and tell me what that text looks like?

behoma -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 11:11:08 PM)

ritournelle:

Can you print out your Player screen (Like you're starting a new game)?

behoma -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 11:19:49 PM)

Erik Rutins -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 11:44:20 PM)

I think what Marshall wants to know is what happens when you click on New Game - what does that look like?

behoma -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 11:45:49 PM)

ok
it's like my first screen posting (after clicking on new screen)

demonterico -> RE: Unable to play (12/5/2007 11:56:18 PM)

Now I've got mine downloaded and that seemed like it went alright, but my game wont run either.  In the player selection screen I click the Begin button and get this error message:  Not enough storage is available to process this command.  I checked, C: drive has 56 GB of free space.  Op sys:  Win XP

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 12:14:03 AM)

Marshal it exactly the same as ritournelle first screen post. Notice the small box in the tom left!!!!!

I am sure thats where all the text is????

Could you please start a new thread on that and post a DxDiag file? It sounds like a separate issue. We'll work on resolving that as well.

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 12:20:59 AM)

Mike:

Can you humor me a second and start the game by dbl-clicking the EiANW.EXE file in the EiANW dir to start the game?

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 12:46:15 AM)

Marshall,

Already tried that and still the same display. Also tried reinstalling into Program files instead of C:\. No Change.

Note if you look at the post of the original screen go top left to the small bar/window I have been referring to you can see a small grey mark looks like a dash. If I click on it it oens a window with a slide bar on RHS and Human printed top left.

Guenter -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 1:38:35 AM)

Same problem here. Can't start a game. [:(]

Guenter -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 1:45:44 AM)

Clicking the .exe file directly did not help.
Neither did setting resolution to 1024*786...

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 1:54:20 AM)

Guenter:

Do your screens look similar?

Ritournelle,

I also run an Nvidia driver. My version is 9424 while you are still running 6375. You may want to try updating your NVidia driver and see if that helps. It runs fine for me. (Also running XP and have an AMD processor (but only a 4200 +) that is a dual core running at 2.5 ghz)

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 1:56:25 AM)

Guenter,

Also do you have a NVIDIA Video card? If so which?

Spartan07 -> RE: Unable to play (12/6/2007 2:16:41 AM)

Looks like a NVIDIA driver issue. I uploaded latest version and its fine..

Suggest everyone trys the same and reports back. Thanks for the help guys....
