von Curow -> AI taking casualties (12/7/2007 4:49:52 PM)

Tech issue, or design choice? You be the judge. [;)] I have noticed the AI taking casualties in a strange fashion. For example, Egypt lost a battle. After the 2nd round, they broke, and they took all the casualties as cavalry. I noticed that the 1.0 morale loss had been breached. There is a rule in EiA that militia cannot be taken as losses in the round in which the total morale loss for the battle exceeds 2.0 (the morale of militia). The AI appears to be using this rule with all infantry. So North African infantry with morale 1.0 means they won't take them as losses once morale loss exceeds 1.0. The Russian army did the same thing in a battle in after their morale loss passed the 3.0 mark -- they ceased taking infantry as casualties and took all cavalry. Has anyone else seen this? I will try to replicate and get a screen shot. Of course, if the AI loses a battle, they must take 1 cavalry factor as a loss in the last round. So maybe the AI is confused and simply clicks too many times on the cavalry when taking losses in the last round?
