What are the best playbooks out there and where can I find them?

On my hard drive.

P.S. Are you making a reference to American, Canadian, or Indoor playbooks?

I find the one called 'plays' pretty good. You can find it at FBMax under 'unsorted files' then click on 'plays'. Once you download and unzip the file you'll find the playbooks named Coach Jones, Coach Allen, Coach Johnson, Coach Davis, Coach Smith, Coach Goode. These are the ones I use. Although, I had to tweak and create situations to make the teams even more competetive on the field with these. I'm not saying they are the best, but they work great for me.

I'm finding it best to pick and choose playbook sets from some of the stock plays and to use some of the latest stuff on FBMAX.  NMLeague updated the base 3-4 and 4-2-5 defenses (these were included in the 2.1 patch, I believe), while there are some very good offensive sets and 4-3 plays on FBMAX in the unsorted section (Playbook_Export_Default_Conservative_Defense_43.zip and Playbook_Export_Default_Offense_AggressivePro.zip)

One of the great things about MaxFB is that you can remove over-powered or "money" plays from the playbooks and tailor the CPU playcalling profiles to enhance playcalling.  Honestly, I couldn't tell you about just *one* playbook to use - my latest playbook of choice incorporates a number of plays from our many talented play creators out there.  Right now, my offensive playbook includes a 3 back set and Ladder plays in addition to more conventional sets, and on defense, I have multiple looks with the 3-4, 4-3, 4-2-5, Dime, and Goalline packages.  Even now, I'm STILL testing and tinkering with the playbooks to get a set that works best for both me and the CPU.
