rcleslie -> Printing rosters (12/11/2007 11:00:51 PM)

My apologies if this is not really a new thread, but I am still struggling with being able to print team data, e.g., rosters. I have downloaded JDhalftrack's MaxFB database editor, but can't seem to get the hang of it - too many frame rate errors (I think that's what they are called). I have also tried with Open Office's data base. I think my main problem is that I cannot locate the right file, i.e.,the one that contains the rosters for my team (that would help wouldn't it!). Also, I once stumbled upon a file that provided ranges for the various player ratings. I have not been able to relocate it, however. If anyone can help me out with either of these problems it would be terrific.

It would be great if we were able to export team rosters, draft rosters, and stats into a sorted report format.

In the game there is a export for stats and rosters. pick your league. then go to the team. I belive it is on the roster page (Sorting the Roster) hit export and you will have the stats and the rosters in your Directory folder.

Have you tried this utility from FBMAX

http://www.fbmax.com/utils/mfdata.zip

Using open office or Microsoft Access is a bit tricky. The rosters are in the league file, in a table called players. Problem is it isnt that straight forward.

Do you want them in HTML or as a .txt file?

I think I would prefer them as a text file unless that makes things more difficult. Mostly, I want a way to print my rosters and will be happy with whatever does that in the fewest number of steps.

Thx for your reply. I did try this and agree that it is not straightforward. It seems I need straightforward for my attempts to use it did not pan out. I seem to confuse easily.
