Franck -> The brits don't want to rail move!!! (12/17/2007 4:30:34 PM)

Hi, in my game against Wuger54, playing 1,2 beta 9 I believe, the brits seem to randomly accept to take the train... And my rail moves are still expanded ( well if I'm not wrong they are expanded from French strategic move allocation but returned to Brits ). It's quite frustrating since I have an offensive going (facing a 3 strengh corp) but I have to stop because the brits don't show up to fill in the gap if I eve decide to advance a little bit more... So I'm stuck in place because the brits won't leave Brest!

And let's admit that Brest is a long way to go by foot!!!!

Anyone knows a way to make rail move works? Maybe use smaller rail move? 2 corps managed to rail move for some reason... So I guess there might be some way to make it work. Both that managed were ether shorter move or into Italy (still one failed in italy and the other moved directly to the front when I ordered it to move one hex behind the front!!!!). Anyway, someone found a way to make it work with more consistency using this old version. I know this issue has been answered in some patch... I'm not claiming Franck should take care of it... I'm just wondering if there is a way to go around this bug. Because it could take me a full year to move my corps to the battleline. Or I could amphib them closer... But I still lost 3 important 3-3-2 impulse turn for my offensive in the west :(

By the way, I always rail move one hex behind the front to be sure:
a) the hex is not attacked and the rail move stopped
b)There is no overstack at the end of the normal move, so rail is possible.

And the French nation still has left over strategic movement capability?

Totaly did... The problem is not that I can't give the order... The problem is that I do give the order, expand the Strategic move, then during resolution they don't move ( as if there was a combat in the hex they were supposed to move, but that is not the case ), then the strategic points get added to Britain's total ( because rail move failed ) instead of France !!!!![:@]

As I said I'm pretty sure Franck took care of this problem in a latter version. But since we only play one impulse a day, we would never be able to finish a game if we didn't keep up one of our older games!
