Anything figured out yet regarding the 4mb pbem files? Is it something that will be fixed in the next patch?

I have three PBEM games going and it happens in all of them. Some files are 300-500kb and some are close to 4mb with no rhyme nor reason as to which ones are larger. I have many files to share if that helps.

I haven't looked too in depth yet since I'm trying to get the 1.01 patch done. I will look more into this after the 1.01 release.

Ok, thank you. They are growing to be over 5mb, but I can understand your concerns may fall elsewhere at this point. Appreciate your reply and good luck with the patch.

well the size of those files are becoming an issue, many got a low mb inbox, like just 10mb, so thats just 3 files then of 5mb, so that will fast ruin a game. I had to change mine to 100mb, otherwise not able to handle 4 different games lol

I realize you guys probably don't want to get one but GMAIL is free gives you 5 gig of mail space and you could just create an account for the purpose of EIA so that is all you would get there.

Just an Idea.

or they should as soon as they can, fix it for next patch, so these mb files, are not that large, as it seems some are sending just 400 to 500kb files, so something is wrong and must be able to fix it :)

Yes 4 megs for what should essentially be an encrypted text file of the game state? Someone screwed up big time here!

We WANT to play your game, you know ;)

Zip 'em if you aren't already.  They seem to compress rather well (as in ~97-99% reduction using .zip) for me.
