dolphinsfan9910 -> I know it's late, maybe next time (12/20/2007 5:58:27 AM)

I was just playing a game in which I was the North fighting a defensive battle in Chattanooga, South was attacking. As is my standard procedure when being attacked, I dig in and wait. An even match, my division 15,000 to the South's 16,000. I found a sweet spot between 2 mountains, leaving no flank, so they must come on head on into my 3000 strength Napolean w/ morale about 5.5. All my units are dug in. Their infantry split, and come on in. They have a Napolean as well.

This is what bothered me a little: Their artillery comes in range, unlimbers, and then limbers up again and moves parallel to my line with out firing. This happens often when I dig in, the opposing artillery moves around more than firing. In this instance they could have easily destroyed my forces by firing on my units, but I got in about 7 hits w/ my artillery to their 1. They broke first.

I'm playing at the 4th highest level, and with the newest patch the Strategic AI is much more challenging. The issue I had w/ the troops withdrawing to fast in tactical battles is gone!!!! I guess this is the last issue I have.
