AresMars -> Where can you find when the FR and GB are moving in the NAVAL and LAN Phase? (12/31/2007 7:24:11 AM)

Playing a PBEM game and we are trying to figure out how players other then FRANCE and ENGLAND figure out when they (FR and GB) are moving in the respective NAVAL or LAND Phase.

Currently we are having the FR and GB players declare when they move, but need a GAME SOURCE

I could not find anything as yet....mind you, I have been looking for too long now.... [;)]

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated..

Look up section 8.2 and 10.1 respectivly in the manual.

I think what AresMars is requesting is an entry in the summey log of the Diplomatic phase that says :

"France is moving xxx in the land phase"
"Britian is moving yyy in the naval phase"

You can change GB and Fr move order in the Diplomacy Phase.  There is a botton in the lower right hand corner that lets you do so.

Yes, we KNOW that it can be changed. But only BY France or GB (respectively). And, like the opening poster, I can't find a way to discern at what point in the process France and GB are moving in their respective move phases.

In other word, I'm Prussia at war with France. I have some grand plan to destroy France (as Frederick the Not-so-Great frequently did), but it depends on France moving in the land phase after me and the placement of a blocking corps during my reinforcement phase. How do I find out (after Diplomacy, but before movement) at what point in the phase France is going to move?

Any change by France or Britain to the move order will be specified in the "Status Box" by the end of the Diplomacy Phase.  Double-click on it to open it up, then plow through all the useless verbiage to find what you need.

Jimmer,

To view the turn order for the phase, hold the cursor over the current phase text located on the top menu bar. The major power located between the angle brackets (e.g. <France>) is the phasing major power.

Edit: To answer your question completely: Britain and France changes in the naval and land phase order should be written to the status info window for viewing at the start of the reinforcement phase but now I noticed that it is missing. The program should announce the change and divulge the exact order at that time. On the fix list -thanks

Richard

Trin -> RE: Where can you find when the FR and GB are moving in the NAVAL and LAN Phase? (12/31/2007 7:40:48 PM)

Is there some way to make sure that the log details transport consistently around to the next players in the PBEM game? I tried out the game solo against the IA to learn the game a little and whilst the logs were quite difficult to read, the info was all there.

In the PBEM version it seems quite erratic exactly what info each player ends up having access to. Mostly I just get the one line entry that x country has loaded and had its turn. For example, diplomatic phase, I attempt to influence, ask for allies etc and the only way I can guess the result later is to check each minor or check my country status page to see if I'm now allied to anyone BUT the player that finished the diplomatic phase did have all the results of the rolls etc in his log.

I mention this here because when I played solo, I would get a message in the logs that GB or FR have chosen to move last/first etc - so it feels like the same problem

Richard, it's not missing, just buried in the info pile:

Thank you to Monadan for providing the response I was looking for.  Sorry to hear about one fix, one break...but as Jimmer pointed out (Thanks Buddy!) it can become very important....

gwheelock/Alex777; you should notice I mentioned that we are playing in a PBEM game and I _believe_ your responses are from a single-player game.... but appreciate the help.

I appreciate the responses from everyone else......
