My rifle platoon dukes it out with an enemy rifle platoon for 3 turns. Sustains heavy casualties but forces the remains of the enemy platoon to retreat. Along comes my abandoned tank crew, fires a single volley at the beaten enemy rifle platoon and gets credit for the kill. Who got the experience in this scenario?

The unit that actually casues teh kill "gets credit" but units get expereince for shooting at the enemy so the other guy gets some, just not the "icon"
