Does the recon value affect effectiveness of artillery bombardment? If not I think it should as effective bombardment relied (and still does) heavily on FO. In game I think bombarding units with no or low recon should give a lot less kills (and you should not now, sometimes shelling unknown units is a "cheap" way of recon them). It should still supress the target but to a lesser extent. On a side note I also feel that it's sometimes a bit too easy to get full info on enemy units, like readiness values and such. I for one rarely build scouts as I seldom feel that I lack sufficient info on enemy position and composition.

Scouts are usefull, but realy only so on low to medium production / troop concentration maps.

I can see that, but they're quite expensive.

Anyway, as the creator if this magnificent game maybe you could enlighten me if artillery accuracy is modified by recon value in the bombarded hex.

Stack size affects arty. So if you have alot of units in a tight space they will get hit harder by arty.

Oh yeah! I LOOOOOVE my arty.

Give me a nice big stack of artillery, behind the front lines, with another nice stack of AA mixed in with them.

Whatever stack I want to seriously mess up, I hit with my bombers, then artillery, and then mop up.

If you are careful, you can use the bounce to cut off another unit's retreat, and begin to roll up his flank, or bust a nice big hole in his line.

This bugging me too. There should be no combat window during bombardments and air raids. And the degree of recon actually should affect the effectiveness of fire.
