sooner7 -> scoring error (1/11/2008 5:11:07 AM)

I wrote last week about a scoring error, and now I have had another one tonight. A runner reached base on an error and later score on a 2 out single, and it was credited as an earned run. Anyone else ever had this problem? I have played for a year, and it has never occured. I did just re-download the game on my new PC. Could there have been a problem there? Thanks

Yes, I just had it happen tonight and have seen it several times now. I don't know if it had occured before the most recent Puresim update or not.

I had never had it happen before, either.  It is frustrating to say the least.

Are you up to date with all the latest patches?

If so, can you maybe give me as detailed info as possible on the situation? Details on the inning, was there any pitching changes, who made the error etc.

Thanks.

I have seen this problem with every patch after the patch that correctly showed the era during games including g.

I think this should be fixed the latest patch (1.70g)

I still have seen the problem in g. Funny thing in the origional release, this error was't there.

If a reliever comes in with 2 outs he should get an earned run, was that the situation?

Actually, what has happened a couple of times is that the wrong pitcher has been getting credited with the loss.  The latest patch seems to have solved the unearned run problem.  Thank you.  I will bring a reliever in with runners on base in a tie game.  The reliever will give up a hit to allow the winning run to score.  The run and the loss should go to the pitcher who allowed the runner on in the first place, but it is going to the reliever.

I see, thanks for the clarification.
