T_K -> Self-destruct doesn't work. (1/14/2008 9:26:44 AM)

I copied a level bomber to make a ballistic missile, chose the self-destruct on attack but after testing it just didn't die. Is there any trick to it?

Yes i see. It only auto destructs after it has attacked at least 1 enemy.
I'll try to get it into v1.10 still ....

i hope to still get this in for v1.10 since it will enable realistic moddeling of rockets and nukes.

Oookay now in 1.10L the self-destruct DOES work however my unit just disintegrates when attacking and does neither damage to the attacked units nor location damage ( I mostly care about the latter with the V2 obviously). I even tried just a strategic bombing raid and got the same result. Any tips how to make this work?

You might want to give it more attack power and anti structure points.  Also run it in combat sim mode to make sure any attack is not an outlier.

So you're saying that it definitely needs to hit so that its antistructure points count? I would think any falling artillery shells / rockets should do their antistructural damage even if they miss their targets.

Guys,

Its my fault. The autodestruct is not working properly. (still!!! arghh)

I'll try to fix it a.s.a.p!

Kind regards,
Vic
