Hello all, I have a question about Bridges. Why exactly are they important in Advanced Tactics? Just because there is no penalty to cross the hex? I could move my troops across rivers without bridges. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just trying to find the importance of bridges in this game. Advance Tactics is Awesome by the way!

Aside from the obvious reduction in movement costs, the transfer of units and supply from production centers to thier assigned HQs is measured in APs. the AP cost to sent this stuff across unbriged rivers is much more. There is a supply line button on the main display (2and from right, looks like a jerrycan).  If you select a unit or any location, click that button, you can look at the AP cost and routing from the selected object to anywhere else. Hope this helps.

Did not know that. There is a supply number for each unit such as 45/250.

What does 250 represent? How much supply is represented by the 45?

If you click on the supply HQ, then click the supply overlay button. the 45/250 means that its taking 45 Action Points to to get to that hex. you'll notice that it should be less thatn 100 in all the green areas. then be over 100 in yellow, and probably 999 in dark unsupplied areas.

NOTE it doesnt "use up" these action points, but uses actions points as a way to measure "movement point cost" to determine if there is any impact on the supply.

NOTE: Very important - the overlay button shows the supply from the hex you select BEFORE you click on the supply button, it doesnt show you the actual supply situation.
