Tankerace -> Second Call for Carrier Force Beta Testers (1/24/2008 11:09:07 PM)

Hi guys. I'm needing some new testers. The game is not in Beta mode yet, but we are working hard to get it there and I need some good testers. Several have departed over the past year, and some are working on both AE and CF, with a couple seemingly ignoring Carrier Force altogether. So I need some new ones since the game is entering a playable state with new features added every week.

Only going to run this call until Saturday, because last time I got far more than I needed.

If you would be interested in joining the team, send an email to justinp@matrixgames.com. Please include name, age, location, how many hours a day or week you can commit to testing, and how much experience with the UV/WitP/WPO system you have.

Please, serious offers only. If you are not going to be able to test immediately, please do not apply. I have had a number of testers join, then have an abscence for a lengthy period, then drop altogether within a few weeks. I understand things come up, but at this late a date I need serious testers who can commit to testing the game and with the project through release and the first series of patches.

Please note I will require an email to consider you for the position, no PMs or forum posts (though you may post and email).

I will start contacting people tomorrow to get you set up with an NDA.

Thank you very much,

Justin Prince,
Producer, Carrier Force

Letīs hope it stays that way after the game is released those WITP players stay on their side of the forums. [8D]

Now Ike, behave. Some of the nicest people I know play WITP.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Would love to beta test.

( Put my request in last night [:)] )

Well there is one thing I want to know!!!

[;)]

Between all the programming of troop attrition to snake bites and malaria...

Did they remember to make the fonts readable without a magnifying glass!

Nothing is worse than staring at that WITP screen for an hour with those tiny fonts.

Can this information be given?

NO

Ike99 -> RE: Second Call for Carrier Force Beta Testers (1/31/2008 1:31:19 AM)

Yeah, I asked over at the WITP forum yesterday and got a no too. I would comment more on this but Iīve heard it said if you have nothing good to say donīt say nothing at all.

It is something I'll look into though. But changing the font size also involves changing a bunch of screens, and all that other fun stuff. I may see what we can do.

Well I say in the nicest possible way...then change a bunch of screens.

I mean the font issue has been here from day 1 upon release from what Iīve read. If WITP is supposed to be the ultimate Pacific War game (and it is) and to play such a game requires hours of looking at a lot of statistical information on a screen for hours...It should be very easy on the eyes. WITP AE is supposed to be a big upgrade to the ultimate Pacific War Game.

I mean cīmon, then thing is probably going to cost 50-60 USD and is more than likely going to sell a lot of copies.

Change the screens and fix the fonts.

Eye doctors everwhere agree, witp is a great game!
