elcidce -> Transferring Games to new Computer Help (1/28/2008 6:23:56 PM)

I finally bit the bullet and have a new PC on its way to my house. I was hoping to just remove my second hard drive and add it to the new computer. I am assuming that this will allow me to play the games already instaled on this drive after I create and or revise the shortcuts for it. The old computer is Winxp and the new one will be Win Vista. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It won't work.

Games usually write some stuff to the registry or put files in general directories like \windows\system32.

If you're a bit of a geek you can work your way around this, but if you were one, you wouldn't have assumed it would work [;)]
