awolfhk -> Dll error when starting game (2/2/2008 7:36:55 AM)

downloaded the CAW via download purchase. installed no problems. When I tried to start game I get an error message: cant find irrKlang.dll file, try re-install game to fix.. Did a system search for the dll came up empty. Any help appreciated, and yes, did search for dll and downloaded it. zip file had many different dll's and folders. So not sure how to get it to work. I did copy one of the irrklang.dll files to system folder and now get different error bout point entry or something like that.
Am running windows home edittion serv pack 2, 3ghz cpu 1 gig ram, nvidia 7800gt 256 card. Also tried a complete re-install,(removed that one dll file I tried) get same cant find dll error messsage.
Also downloaded the ver 102 update, but same result.

Thanks, Doug(awolfhk)

Hi Doug,

Sounds like the initial install went awry. Try doing a complete un-install, and delete any remaining folders (ie C:\Matrix Games\Carriers At War\ if you installed to the default directory). Try re-downloading the initial install, then reinstall using it. After installing the initial download, the irrklang.dll should be installed to the Carriers At War directory (ie the same folder as the Carriers At War executable).

As a separate question - what is the size of your initial install?
