Nothing in the manual about this (that I can find).

How, exactly, is this accomplished? [&:]

No one knows how to use strategic sea movement?

Vic?

You do it, exactly like you do it for ground forces. You just need to have cargoships in the HQ that is providing transport, and select the naval option, if there is a choice between land transport, or naval transport for the providing HQ.

If that doesn't help make it "click" for you, I'll try and take some screenshots off of my next PBEM turn, and give you some step, by step, instructions on how to do it.

Thanks in advance JAMiAM, I've tried a few simple scenarios to get the feeling of this game. Think I've figured out the land part of the game engine by now.... but yesterday I tried some naval transports :-) Hehe, first two Rifle II divisions ended up swimming in the ocean, unable to go anywhere.... but down I guess :-)
So cargo ships it is, either for strategic transport or "physical" transport, just like trucks and halftracks for landmovement.

JAMiAM - I figured that must be he way to do it and just added a bunch of cargo ships to my HQ last turn. Waiting to get my turn back. Thanks for the confirmation!

In order to move a complete unit by sea it needs to be at a port I believe. Then click on the unit and pick the strat move box. Then go to the Headquarters you plan to use to move it ( It must have cargo ships inside it) click on it. Now you will have the option of land or sea movement. Select sea. Move the cursor to where you want the unit to go, again I believe it has to be a port. Click, if you have enough strat movement to do the move click the BOTTOM box to effect the move. The one all the way at the bottom.

Thanks, I learn this game by playing small simple scenarios which I then make larger and larger, introducing new "things" all the time.
I must have clicked a few wrong buttons because my rifle divisions ended up in the middle of the ocean... no ships no nothing, weird. FUBAR indeed.
