Gary Kerr -> WAW 27a I can't save game (2/9/2008 12:37:24 AM)

Hi Everyone,

New to these treads,

I bought AT before Chrismas and love the game and been playing around with the game. I have to say this forum is great for teaching guys how to play the game, especially the after action reports.

Here is my problem.

I have upgraded the game with the 1.10L patch and I have downloaded the WAW scenario 27a from the scenario depot.

I go to play this scenario and everything seems to work except when I go to save the game. I go the the system option screen as always, but the save icon is not shown. All other icons are there including auto save but unfortuantly the autosave does not work either.

I tried to redownload both the scenario WAW 27a and the patch 1.10L but I still end up without being able to save.

I can save the other scenarios that came with AT, the problem seems to be related to this scenario.

What can I do to get this working as the scenario is awesome but I am finding impossible to play this game without saving.

Regards
Gary

Welcome Gary,

It sounds like you have the PBEM options still selected, they are on by default. Load the scenario and check that passwords and other PBEM stuff is not selected first then start the scenario. YOu should be able to save now.

This is of course assuming you are not in a PBEM game with other people.[:)] If you are then you can't save a turn part way through for PBEM games.

That was it, thanks a lot

Now I can see if the AI++ can actually penitrate the Margiont Line.  The BEF / Canadian Forces that I put in Dunkerque always repell the Germans trying to bust through Belgium toward Lille.

The SS are conscripts compared to the Canadians.

One thing about the scenario that I noticed is that the prarries are not shown and there is no resources being produced from Southern Alberta, ie the Turner fields that supplied almost all the oil for the Canadian and British war machine.
