I have the DL version patched to 1.2, and when I scroll the map the screen is brightly blanked out for a second before recovering, each and every small scroll. The game is playable, but it is an unpleasant effect.

New quad-core PC 8800GT card, 4 gig RAM.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's an easy fix.   It's a problem with your high resolution display.

Go to your computers control panel and adjust the display to a lower resolutuion.

Jason,

Maybe this thread should be stickied individually?

Thanks,
Duncan

Better yet, a sticky on Vista problems and solutions.

There is a sticky already: "Flashing White with Vista"

No worries, I adjusted the title so it made more sense.

No problem stickying your scenario list!

Jason, i saw that title and it looked like a specific problem with Vista not a general discussion on problem and solutions. Thanks for the heads up.
