AresMars -> Political Points - Summary Chart (2/18/2008 9:19:30 PM)

Once again I would like to ask for a SUMMARY of all the Political Point Changes that are posisble in EIANW.

As there is a variation from the original EIA rules, this information will help _ all Players _ understand what events and actions will have what sort of Political Status change result(s).

I asked orginially in the following thread and NOTHING!
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1671727&mpage=1&key=

Marshall posted one that was important but I would like a complete list from the Game Designers please.

Marshall Quote: "Actually version 1.00 should have corps with more than 20 factors worth 2pp."

This suggests that the number of active FACTORS is more important then the actual Corps capacity.
[ ie. French II Corp (20 I/M, 3C) = +/-.5 PP if less then 19 factors, +/- 2 PP if 20+ factors - Where it should be +/- 1 PP for the Corps being present, ignoring factors present ]

An important element of playing EIA/EIANW is the gain/lost of PP and without knowing how the game treats all possible events it is hard to make effective, informed decisions.

Please provide a summary with Patch 1.02

Murat -> RE: Political Points - Summary Chart (2/20/2008 4:53:27 AM)

20+ factors should be 1pp, not 2pp

bresh -> RE: Political Points - Summary Chart (2/20/2008 12:01:48 PM)

Actually it should be, just like in EIA. As it is supposed to in EIANW, section 11.2.10 page 72 1.paragraph confirms this.

Bresh

Marshall indicated otherwise in his response to my orginal inquiry.

Now you understand why I am asking for a detailed summary from Matrix.

I rememeber the same way that both Murat and bresh do.

Any Corps that has a capacity of 20 or more factors is worth 1 PP and not 0.5 PP in a win or loss.

Not quite, it needs to have 20+ factors in it at the start of battle. Not just room for 20+ :)

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Political Points - Summary Chart (2/20/2008 8:30:33 PM)

Yes, I was wrong! I meant 2 as a multiplier. Corps starting the battle with 20+ factors are 1pp (2x.5). My bad, sorry!

Bresh,

When we played, we played based on CAPACITY and not factors at start.

May have been a house rule then....but it made sense to us at the time.

As France has the bulk of the 20+ Corps, it made it a little harder for him and help us deal with Super Stacks, etc....

Well i can just point to the eia-rulebook, dont know why you played with a houserule there,
but if you read the rules, its not capacity, but corps starting-battles with 20+factors.

All i can say you didnt play by the rules.
And personnaly i prefer to play by the official rules.

Bresh

Well, it seems that after much mocking my group of "friends" reminded me of my aging memory.

It seems I "rememebered" the way we where playing, and the French players always kept the 20+ Corps full....

It really sucks getting older....I hope 40 is not as bad as 39!

Matrix Games:  I am still looking for a Political Point Summary for EIANW...!

There are three signs that you're getting old.

The first is that you lose your memory.

I forgot what the other two are.
