good game guys!

i am realy enjoying myself doing the impossible.

Barthheart -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/9/2008 3:35:49 AM)

Turn 12 to AGC.

Interesting tactic around Lennigrad. Sov. North built a fort on an urban hex and converted it to a fort! Not sure if this is a good idea....
Lots of forts around Lennigrad[X(], but it's now cutoff from the rest of Russia....

IRONCROM -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/10/2008 1:36:44 AM)

Turn sent to AGS

jjdenver -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/10/2008 6:52:40 AM)

sent to sov nw

fun game

lomyrin -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/10/2008 7:17:52 PM)

Soviet NW T12 done, sent to Soviet center.

Looking pretty bleak in the SNW. I expected making a fort in a city hex would increase its defense as if it meant street barricades etc but it only replaced the city with a fort.
Looks like too many troops are defending Leningrad and are now stuck there.

Lars

Vic -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/25/2008 8:20:22 PM)

It is a great game. But i have to agree with Tom that the initial tankkillers the german OOB had, where way to powerfull, they should have been light tanks.

jjdenver -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/25/2008 8:36:48 PM)

Yes - I think in general perhaps the Germans are a little too strong - I'm not sure if this change would balance it or not. From my experience w/ the scenario so far there is only one game where I think the Soviets have a chance to win.

Vic -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/26/2008 3:25:59 PM)

I think we will also need to cut out the initial 4 turns of double movement. If the soviets have more left of their original army they will better be able to oppose the germans. I think that and removing the Tankdestroyers from initial OOB (and research because we should not see them until 43/44) will do the trick.

lets see how the winter and mud effects will work.

if i got some soviet troops left by that time.

Barthheart -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/28/2008 6:57:41 PM)

Turn 16 sent to AGC.

Sorry for the delay.... busy, and tiring, weekend gardening.....

jjdenver -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/28/2008 7:44:16 PM)

While we are talking about changes to this scenario I want to make sure that the position of Siberian reinforcements is considered. I think the north is way too far west as in almost every game I've been in Tikhvin falls before Siberians can come in- it would make sense to bring them in farther east so the Soviets are sure to get them.

lomyrin -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (4/29/2008 7:39:01 PM)

Soviet NW turn 16 done, sent to center.

Lars

Barthheart -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (5/2/2008 5:48:08 PM)

Turn 17 to AGC.

MUD!!!!![:@]

jjdenver -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (5/5/2008 7:18:36 AM)

Turn sent to Soviet NW.

Soviets having some real counterattack successes in the south and the mud has immobilized the panzers. On the plus side Kiev finally falls.

Barthheart -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (5/12/2008 7:42:13 PM)

Turn 18 to AGC.

Barthheart -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (5/15/2008 4:17:11 AM)

Turn 18 to AGS.

Kirk had me play his AGC turn to keep the game going.

lomyrin -> RE: GPW v5 6-player (5/17/2008 10:09:13 PM)

Soviet NW turn 18 done,  sent to center.

Lars
