Waylander -> Problems adding Megacampaigns (3/12/2002 11:13:26 PM)

I had SPWAW with Desert Fox Patched up to version 7, then loaded LV megacampaign, all Ok but when I tried to install watchtower it never showed up in the Megacampaign path. I tried again (several times) eventually trying to load them out of sequence, the directories appear under megacamp but are not recognised, right now i have watchtower loaded but cannot load the earlier two. anyone seen this problem??, I am running version 7 from the watchtower disk at present.

Can you closely check the install path? Sometimes an extra directory level is added in. You may have the files in an extra sub-directory. If so, just move them into the MC directory.

I did notice that on one retry, Right now under Megacam I have two subs Lost Victories and Operation Watchtower 42, however when I go to Megacampaigns in the game ......................... Woops, just loaded it up real quick there and they both show up, maybe it needed a reboot to catch it.
Cheers anyway

Way - What's the path to your main MatrixGames directory? If it isn't C:\MatrixGames\Steel Panthers ....

SPWAW doesn't write to the App Paths registry key - some do, some don't. I have the feeling that unless the default path is used at time of initial install, there will be trouble eventually when installing modules and add-ons.

Stand alones such as Scenario Wrangler are not a problem - you start them from the desktop via a shortcut, or pump the exe in the dir.

Check the above and get back to us,
