Hi all - I am still playing 1.01b, as I want to finish my current game.

Late 1810, when I press the end phase button to end the land phase, the game locks. It has happened a few times now, but I have been able to go back to an autosave and be able to carry on. No dice this time.

Christian,

This game freeze does not occur with v1.02. We are hoping to push out a 1.02b patch (just the game engine) that addresses some other important issues so you may want to consider upgrading then if you wish to finish that game.

Thanks for looking into this, Richard.

So I am right in assuming that 1.01b and 1.02 are not (at the moment) save-game compatible?

BTW - thanks to all the EIA team for this great game; some of my fondest gaming moments were with the AH version way back when.

Christian,

They are compatible but we introduced (read broke) some things while fixing others in 1.02. Working to fix some of them and get another small patch out soon. Actually, I’m pushing for smaller and more frequently released beta patches going forward. When we bite off more than we can chew, we are more prone to have added problems as a consequence (e.g. 1.02). Stand by

Thanks

Richard
