ORIGINAL: Mike Solli Were you a part of that Monstergaming Society in VA? They organized the event. Halsey and I weren't actual members but managed to wrangle invites somehow or other, can't really remember some of the details after 23(!) years. quote:

ORIGINAL: Mike Solli Well, what was the status of each side at the end? i'm betting they were both extremely tired... [:'(] I do remember that in 9 nights I got a total of 25 hours sleep. Livin' on coffee and Vivarin.... I'd say our game ended with both sides feeling they had won. Since we didn't get to the end of the war, there is no way to say. In 6/44 the Allies had just taken Rota and had invaded Timor. Given that we had lost 4 US CVs by 2/42 (no respawning![;)]), we were feeling pretty good that we didn't just quit the first day! Both sides felt victorious, can't ask for much more than that. That was a fun week.
