Karri -> German panzer division (3/28/2008 11:02:03 PM)

I have hard time finding any real data. So what I am asking is what a german pazner division would look like equipment wise(in TOAW terms ifpossible, but not necessary)? An ideal panzer division that is. Circa 1943.

TM-E 30-451: Handbook on German Military Force is on line here:

http://www.lonesentry.com/manuals/tme30/index.html

If you poke around, you can find a link to a place where you can download it in .pdf format. That's what I did.

or you could buy it on Amazon. [:)]

My copy is what I've used for all my scenarios that have WWII Germans in them.

here's the link to the free version and *lots* of Army FM's too:
http://www.ahco.army.mil/site/auth_docs_brief.jsp

They also have a shorter (and earlier) company officer's handbook that has a nice section on kampfgroups experienced in Sicily and Italy and some slightly different TOE's still featuring AT rifles and 50 mm mortars.

My favorite comment was the observation that no two German armor battalions look alike.
