If you insist upon going out in the open with a large object, the chances are very high you will be fired upon. If they hit you, there is a correspondingly high percentage of damage and/or personal injury. Find a different way to approach the enemy. If all else fails, try Tex Ritter's famous advice: "Smoke, smoke, smoke (that cigarette) .. smoke until you smoke yourself to death." Smoke is your best friend viz a viz movement in combat. Like certain beverages and good looking women, there never seems to be enough smoke available. Use it wisely. Be careful out here. Bing P.S. You can also pound the enemy senseless with artillery, if you have it. Even a pair of dinky 50mm mortars will keep their heads down for a minute of two.
