I can verify that in my test scenario that was not working with 3.9.0, with 3.9.1 iron bombs work through missions, intercept orders (both with F6 and with 'out of range, approach and attack') and manual release. That's all the ways I can think of to test so good work!

May be a stupid question, but how do I install it? The readme references an installer. I dont see one. I get a folder with 4 .exe's that look like they should be manually dropped in the H3 ANW directory and .sf7 file.

rsharp@advancedgamin -> RE: Harpoon 3ANW v3.9.1 'Hot Fix' Has been Uploaded (4/12/2008 4:20:33 AM)

Kegel,

Just drop the files into your ANW folder. First you will need to upgrade to 3.9 if you haven't already. Backing up is optional.

An installer will be provided shortly.

Kegel -> RE: Harpoon 3ANW v3.9.1 'Hot Fix' Has been Uploaded (4/12/2008 5:10:26 AM)

Thanks.  Thats what I figured, just wanted to be sure.  Should the "Harpoon 3 ANW Hotfix 3.9.1.sf7" file be copied into the directory as well or just the 4 .exe's?

rsharp@advancedgamin -> RE: Harpoon 3ANW v3.9.1 'Hot Fix' Has been Uploaded (4/12/2008 5:12:50 AM)

That file isn't necessary for the upgrade. You can delete it if you like.

Hi folks,

The wrong file somehow got posted. Please delete it and we will post the correct one either tomorrow or Monday. I apologize for the screw-up.

Regards,

- Erik

Delete it?  I overwrote my 4 exe's.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Harpoon 3ANW v3.9.1 'Hot Fix' Has been Uploaded (4/12/2008 6:13:54 AM)

The correct file will have the installer and so won't require manual unzipping of files. You should be fine, though I advise re-downloading and applying the new one once it's avialable. We didn't intend to make it difficult to install. We're trying to get the correct version posted tonight.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Harpoon 3ANW v3.9.1 'Hot Fix' Has been Uploaded (4/12/2008 6:50:09 AM)

Ok, the new file with the installer is up, please download and install this one and let us know if it works for you. Thanks!

I have loaded the fix but find no change to the F6 behaviour with Tutorial 6 in the H3 standard db - Tomcat intercepts bogie but doesn't attack, likewise Hornet with Harpoon loadout goes on suicide mission to Skunk, circling target till shot down. Hornet with iron bombs likewise circles fuel dump unless told to attack with attack button at which point it drops bombs. So iron bombs work, but F6 doesn't for me.

I saw nothing in the readme to say the F6 fix was included - am I right?

F6 did not work forme originally with weapons tight, but when I re-tested with weapons free it worked. However I am not useing the scenario you are using, I am using a simple test scenario with a target building and a few F-15Es.

Thanks Shemar, I checked the game pref settings and they are already set to free...

I just re-checked to make sure and my fighter would just fly over the target with weapons tight. As soon as I hit the ~ key bombs dropped. So as far as the game engine goes, it seems to work properly. Hopefully the issue you are having is tied to the specific scenario.

KlubMarcus -> RE: Harpoon 3ANW v3.9.1 'Hot Fix' Has been Uploaded (5/6/2008 4:59:23 AM)

Aircraft still violate threat zones. Sometimes an aircraft on patrol will end up inside a threat zone and just loiter confused as to where to fly to and what to do next. When aircraft reach BINGO fuel, they fly right through threat zones and get shot down because they are flying to low/close to AA sites.
