I've used many different sounds before, as far as length. The best thing to do is try to stay in the same time-frame of the original, else on short moves a long sound can be a bit much. Hold the cursor over the original to see the duration, in case you didn't already know that!! Also, in case you didn't know, you can modify the SOUNDS.DAT file to add more sound files to a certain number. In this case 7 is the movement file, there is only one at the moment, and in the second line of the SOUNDS.DAT file you will see this-2 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1, the 1 in red is the one you would change. You can add quite a few extra sounds to a group. The first line in that is for the weapons/explosions, all the others I don't know all of them yet, I've just started messing around with them. BTW, I use DB Poweramp to covert the sounds to the proper .ogg extension. Mike
