I was just looking through the mods and such and the one thing I suppose you could say is missing is a large pack of playbooks/profiles. (at least as far as I can find)

So I was thinking why not just have the users on the forum come up with a playbook and profile and package it all up for everyone? I'd imagine there are enough people that could put in a P/P that you could easily get enough that you could fill in a 32 team league.

And I think it would be interesting to get a bunch of different philosophies in the game, along with a bunch of well thought out profiles may add a lot to the gameplay for everyone.

For example I tend to believe in the good old fashioned ball control 2 back 2 wr 1 te setup with a nice 3-4 base D.

Any thoughts on this idea?

Detailed playbooks are being considered for an expansion pack if there is interest.

Playbooks were the number one expansion pack item wanted in the poll taken a few weeks ago, followed by new stadiums, so that may help get it done.

Yeah, about the only expansion pack I would be interested in buying would be playbooks that are well designed, if not for my teams use at least to give some variety in playbooks for single player leagues, without having to make up several different playbooks myself.

well my idea was a little more along the ideas of a 'mass mod' where you get a bunch of guys around here to make a playbook/profile and then we bunch them all into one d/l so you just d/l it and you have a bunch of different profiles right there.

Having a few playbook mass-mods would be pretty cool.  There is one problem with that though, and it comes down to play organization.

would that be to assume that as of yet we cannot just import plays and playbooks to a team? I'll spell out what I was thinking first say Hoop and Marauders make a playbook for the mod (keep it at two for simplicity here) the idea would be that Scott could download that file then assign the Hoop playbook to Miami and the Marauders playbook to Buffalo. (or to a couple teams if he saw fit)

Now say you get 20+ playbooks/profiles into the mod then you would essentially have that many different acting teams.

Did that make sense to what I was getting at? I've been hit in the head a lot so I tend to wander ;)

A playbook can be assigned to a team via the team edit screen

yup. the idea would be to get a bunch of different ones together from real people that put them together to get more variety.
