Is there a penalty for loading Armor units in small ports? I've had an AP loading a single armor unit in lunga (size 2), thats still loading while the rest of the division has made it back to Noumea and are done unloading.

Penalty is more for armor being loaded on aps. Load them on aks if you can. But yeah, a size 2 port doesn't help either.

Size of port, an obvious factor in loading speed. What threw me is how much longer it took to load than other units. Its about...4 turns to get to noumea from Lunga? Maybe 3? 1 turn to unload. Thats why I was wondering if the port size effected loading hvy units like tanks b/c they all loaded from the same size port.

AK/AP might indeed be the difference. I'll def try that next time. I always thought AK = supplies. AP = troops.

AFVs aren't an easy load or unload.  APs are good for troops.  Vehicles seem to be better on AKs.

I think vessal size is the key!

AP :- Large ( 3,000 capacity ), Medium ( 2,000 capacity ), Small ( 1,500 capacity ). AK :- Large ( 2,000 capacity ), Small ( 1,500 capacity ).
AP's are marginally faster than AK's and have a better AA value.

( APD's have the best speed and AA value but the capacity is limited to 250.)

All values quoted are for Allies.
