I am in Mid 1942 and am required to withdraw 1CV and 2DD's. Problem is KB has me bottled and managed to sink 2 British CV's and 1 CVL before I could reach Karachi. Now what happens??? I don't have the ships to withdraw. Do I continue to lose PP's until another CV arrives in 263 days????? Or will it hit me once and hte requirement will disappear

Or, you can wait until the Japanese player gets a carrier hit by the leader bug. Then, the allied leader can steal the carrier and sail it to Karachi.

WHAT? WHAT LEADER BUG WHAT?[&:]

In its worst form, your opponent vanishes... [:'(]

Given the thousands of posts devoted to this, i am not sure this is a serious question, or if flanyboy is making a joke...

Assuming it is serious: the game frequently screws up the leaders, often substituting Japanese for Allied leaders, and vice versa... Aside for screwing up leader values, it doesn't have any effect (i.e. - your units do not defect when this happens.)

More serious: some valuable leader (i.e. - classically Halsey) will vanish.

I'm almost certain he's joking, Robert...[:'(]

Thanks for the info. And for those that thinks I am an idiot the reason I got bottled up is my very good opponet is doing teh China and India route for the 4x 1942 auto victory. I was trying a forward defense and he managed to get in behind me using map edge movement. In addition I ran until June 1 1942 with replacements off. (didn't realize that till it was toooo late) So I had to throw everything at him in a delaying tactic till I could move in the other theaters. I am proud to annouce that Karachi fell but I evacuated pieces of each LCU and flew out most of the aircraft. Lost a bunch of the old RN BB's but the POW and Repulse are safe and in support of the USN. I managed to retake PM and have B-25's bombing Kendari every day. Nomea is safe and I have taken Wake, Marcus and the complete Marshall chain of Islands. I have 6 CVGS w/36 ac fighter wings and all ships are modernized. After the fall of Karachi he fell short of the 4x goal and I am expanding in China. By the time he can move on I should be able to deal Truk a final blow and move into the Marianas. I am training the crap out of AC units so it is time for KB to come around. (Oh by the way the old BB's did enough damage to his surface forces to send them to repair yards and even put a couple of holes in the Junyo's flight deck in a freak surface engagement. SO therefore NOT as bad as it seemes and on hell of a fun action filled game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
