I've noticed in my attempts to modify the art (targa) files I'll always get either a black or white box around the graphic. But never a transparent one. Was curious as to whether anyone can tell me what I'm going wrong.

I was hoping someone with more knowledge would reply to you.

I believe that you want to work out how to use the "alpha channel" mask for targa files. Google it and see if you find something useful.

When I originally modded graphics files for GGWAW, I used Adobe Photoshop Elements (the stripped down version), and I found that I could not get this to work. Elements doesn't support it.

So I shifted over to gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) which is free and full featured. I've been happy with gimp ever since.

Thanks for the reply. [8D] Alpha channels eh? Sounds familiar. I'll try and figure it out.
