Les_the_Sarge_9_1 -> Hey for what its worth (7/22/2001 6:02:00 AM)

For those that will be annoyed, well my lack of response in Art of Wargaming should indicate how uninterested I am in responding. But I would go so far, as mention it here though, that those of us that do enjoy a certain level of behaviour (or at least those that expect some manner of game related relevance), might be well advised to not waste time wondering if "Art of Wargamming" is worth checking into. Its rather nice that Matrix has given the space up for the fans of Art of Wargamming, (but I dont see the site as having any worth). Now that is just my view. It might not be a popular one, certainly isnt pro lunatic fringe (and heaven knows I expect I will probably be seeing some commentary from its fans here claiming the usual censorship/supression of free speech mantra (all of which will drift by me un noticed). True, one mans junk is someone elses treasure (although I dont think thats the case here). I am merely pointing out that each post topic I checked out had nothing to do with "The art of wargamming" (maybe it was never the intention of this section to deal with wargames). Anyone dropping by this site is going to get a bad representation of the better portion of Matrix found in its other forums.

If you read the description under the title, the topics pretty much follow it. I have found very little discussion about wargames there, TOAW is mentioned on occasion but that's about all I've noticed. Maybe they should just change the title as it is misleading if you don't read the description.
